Children to grandparents during the Christmas holidays? This is what you think

We asked you on Facebook. A few responses in a row.

Children to grandparents: yes or no?

  • Lonneke: ‘It’s great to read that all those grandfathers and grandmothers, who they continue to visit, do not belong to the risk group. Unfortunately, grandpa & grandma have been away from here for quite some time and/or at a distance (read outside). Wouldn’t want it on my conscience!’
  • Marije: ‘Yes, grandpa and grandma are in our ‘bubble’. Not because they have to babysit, but because we are a family that loves to spend time together and make memories. For later, if we ever look back on this crazy time.’
  • Cobette: ‘No, just stay at home with mom. But then I also have the luxury of being home.’

  • Shirly: ‘We go everywhere, do nice things. We live now, don’t wait for Corona to be over with life. Children are young now. Think of a solution for next week. But it won’t be your own family bubble. Don’t live in a bubble!’
  • Chantal: ‘Why do they assume that all grandfathers and grandmothers are old or older? I still have very young, healthy parents and they both still work.’
