Child Tanja Jess and Charly Luske as a woman through life

The 19-year-old child of Tanja Jess and Charly Luske has been living as a woman for some time. ‘She now bears the name Alice’, says Tanja.

The couple recently announced this in the weekly magazine Story.

“I want her to find her way organically. It is a process in which she takes small steps. We don’t want to dwell much on that now,” says Tanja Jess. In the TV show Amazing Grace Charly Luske pays tribute to his daughter on Sunday evening by singing the song This Is Me from the film The Greatest Showman. He talks candidly about the situation with singer Berget Lewis. “So my oldest son is a trans girl, her name is Alice. She is ready to bring that out, everyone should know that,” said the singer.

It’s always okay

Charly does everything she can to support his daughter. “I am very supportive of that and I do what I can as a father, who of course does not understand some things. But hey, I’m doing my best,” he says. The singer dedicates the song This Is Me to Alice. “To show her that I support that,” he continues. “I hope she feels that I am behind her one hundred percent. That I don’t care at all what she thinks, what she wants, what she does. That it’s always okay.” After the broadcast, the loving reactions pour in. “People underestimate how much this means to her and certainly to us as parents,” Charly writes on Instagram. “Everyone ultimately wants the same thing. Love and being yourself.”
