Call of Duty gives players superpowers to catch cheaters
Armed with superpowers in the form of return bullets, you can take on cheaters in Call of Duty.
A huge problem in Call of Duty is cheaters. Especially on the PC. Activision has to come up with something new every time to stay ahead of the cheaters. It’s kind of a cat and mouse game. When Activision has come up with something again, the cheaters have another counterattack ready. Call of Duty’s latest method of dealing with cheaters gives the regular player superpowers.
If you can’t beat them join them is a well-known English saying. That does apply here. If the server detects a cheater in the game, players will receive a special shield. That shield was created by the Ricochet anti-cheat software from Warzone. When a cheater shoots at an innocent player, the bullets bounce off the player onto the cheater. The cheater dies and the player can continue happily. Also, a player’s health does not deteriorate when hit by a cheater. All that remains is to find the cheater and take it out.
It’s a perfect homemade cookie. And a creative solution from Activision. Plus, it’s a much nicer solution than just banning a cheater. Now the cheater tries to cheat, but gets killed every time. That will be quite frustrating. A YouTuber has already experienced it himself, you can watch his video below.
