Announcement of call of duty for 2022
Activision does not give many details regarding its call of duty from 2022, except that it is developed by Infinity Ward. The group also says that the sequels to Modern Warfare and Warzone will use a new graphics engine, again developed by Infinity Ward.
It is in any case certain that there is a risk of confusion around the names. As a reminder, the players had the right to Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare in 2007 and then Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 in 2009. Then there was Call of Duty: Modern Warfare in 2019, except that this one follows chronologically Call of Duty: Black Ops III. So here is the episode of 2022 which, we can imagine, will be called Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2like that of 2009, except that the two games will not have a particular link.
Regarding the continuation of Call of Duty: WarzoneActivision talks about a “massive battle royale evolution” with “a whole new play space”. Infinity Ward is handling the development of the game and Activision says nothing about Raven Software, namely the studio that manages the current installment.
