C-Day in October 2022 – all information

The community day (also called “C-Day”) is a highlight in Pokémon GO for many players. For a short time, a certain pocket monster appears more frequently and its chance of being shiny is greatly increased. Here we present the Community Day in October 2022 and all past events.

Community Day is a monthly recurring event that took place for the first time in 2018. Developer Niantic wants to strengthen the community feeling and always put a different Pokémon in the spotlight.

Community Day in Pokémon GO: bonuses and how it works

On Community Day, which takes place every month, appears a certain Pokemon particularly common from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. German time. The pocket monster also has a move that it couldn’t otherwise learn or use. Sometimes this attack only becomes available with the evolution of the Pokémon, which you have to do during the event or shortly after. However, some bonuses may also be active during the Community Day period:

• you get more experience points and stardust
• Lure Modules in PokéStops or Smoke remain active for three hours
• Eggs placed in an incubator during the event will hatch four times faster
• if the Community Day Pokemon has a Shiny variant, it is the Greatly increased chance of a shiny

We will tell you below which bonuses are active at the respective event. Before a Community Day starts, you should also take a look at the shop. For little money – usually 0.99 euros – you can Buy a ticket with a special research for Community Day. This then revolves around the Pokémon in the spotlight.

Community Day in October 2022 with Lichtel

Community Day in October 2022 will take place on Sunday, October 15, 2022 from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m instead of. During this period, the Ghost Fire Pokémon appear lightel more often. You can also find and catch a Shiny Lichtel with an increased probability. We have listed all the information about Community Day in October 2022 here:

• Pokemon: Light (incl. shiny light)
• Date and Time: Saturday, October 15, 2022 (2 to 5 p.m.)
• Special attack: Evolve Laternecto during the event or two hours after to give your Skelabra the opportunity to learn the charged move Poltergeist.
• Special Research: Lichtel special research is available for EUR 0.99 “Field Notes – Trick of the Light” to buy in the shop.
• Bonus: Triple Catch EXP, Double Catch Candies, Smoke and Lure Modules last for 3 hours, Double chance of XL Candies on catch for trainers from level 31, during the event and two hours after you can do an additional special trade (max. 2 at this day) and every exchange during the event and two hours after it costs 50% less Stardust.
• Miscellaneous: Laternecto appears in Tier 4 Raid Battles.

Past Community Days from 2018 to 2022

Below we introduce you all past Community Days before. So you know which Pokémon have been in the spotlight before and are therefore unlikely to return any time soon in a new Community Day.

The Community Day in March 2020 is missing because the event due to the events surrounding the corona virus was cancelled. The announced event for the Psycho-Pokémon Abra was rescheduled a month later. As you can see, there are also Community Day events that make several Pokémon appear more frequently. But that is the exception.
