Buyers have to be patient, Apple can’t handle it

Apple introduced the two new models of the MacBook Pro in October last year, but since then potential customers have had to be patient. Also currently you have to wait a little longer for an order.

Apple hasn’t grabbed it yet either, because if you want a new MacBook Pro with a 14 or 16 inch display, you have to expect long waiting times. This still applies now, two months after the product launch (source: MacRumors).

MacBook Pro: Apple’s notebook is in too high demand

A worldwide problem, by the way, because not only the home market USA is affected. In this country, too, buyers have to be patient. The standard versions of the 14-inch model are still the closest. Anyone currently ordering from Apple in the web shop (watch at Apple), who “only” waits three to four weeks. It takes longer with the 16-incher, namely at least 4 to 5 weeks. Ergo: It won’t be until the beginning of March at the earliest.

Customers who want to have an Apple M1 Max built into the 14-inch model will then overstrain their patience. If you develop such wishes and absolutely want to have the largest chip, you have to reach at least the middle or if things go wrong, you can even wait until the end of March 2022 – 9 weeks!

But the new MacBook Pro can also do something:

In short: Apple is still unable to adequately meet the high demand for the new MacBooks or simply cannot produce enough. Apple is doing the same as the entire industry at the moment, everyone is exposed to the global chip crisis.

Alternatively: Look out for standard models in stores

But how should or can customers help themselves? Well, you don’t necessarily have to order directly from Apple, at least not if one of the standard models will do and you don’t have any configuration requests. the “Normal” variants are still available here and there in stores to take away. So it’s worth taking a look at Amazon and Co. For example, we can currently get the smallest model with a 14-inch screen for 2,199 euros from Amazon, after all 50 euros cheaper than Apple and still directly available (view at Amazon).
