Buy individual DAZN games: Now possible via OneFootball

DAZN and OneFootball are entering into a sales partnership that is intended to make watching football more flexible. Thanks to the cooperation, you can now buy individual DAZN games. The pay-per-view offer includes international leagues, but starts out relatively manageable.

You have to pay almost 468 euros a year if you want to see all Bundesliga games. Anyone who only wants to tune in to selected games will now find a new solution that was launched in early February in cooperation with DAZN and OneFootball.

You can buy these DAZN games individually

The offer is still very limited. However, you can currently buy the following DAZN games individually: Italian Serie A and French Ligue 1.

an official one Press release on the partnership between DAZN and OneFootball it can be seen that other leagues and competitions are to follow. The offer is aimed at customers from Germany and Austria.

DAZN has established itself as a globally significant sports broadcaster. And OneFootball is a popular sports platform with a strong community that focuses on football as a global media company.

Both providers are now bundling their expertise and reach. In this way, they want to reach a new generation of fans and offer them “even more live football at affordable prices”, as Lucas von Cranach, founder and CEO of OneFootball, comments.

DAZN and OneFootball launch pay-per-view model

If you are registered with OneFootball, selected football content from DAZN is now available to you in a pay-per-view model. That means: For a defined fee you can buy individual DAZN games via OneFootball.

The deal includes paid live matches and royalty-free clips of football highlights. The former in particular have a clear advantage over subscriptions that invoke regular costs: You decide specifically for a game and pay a one-off amount without making any further commitments.

These were the first DAZN games that you could buy individually:

  • Paris Saint-Germain vs Toulouse FC on February 4, 2023
  • Olympique Marseille vs OGC Nice on February 5, 2023
  • Inter Milan vs AC Milan on February 5, 2023

Although the offer only includes two leagues so far, the matches are quite attractive due to the participation of top teams. The Italian derby in particular has certainly interested many fans of European football leagues.

Buying individual DAZN games: the costs

As soon as DAZN offers a live stream for a Serie A or Ligue 1 game, you can buy it as a OneFootball customer. The DAZN single game costs 3.49 euros. OneFootball charges EUR 4.99 for certain top games.

The content can be accessed via smartphone and tablet if you have installed the OneFootball app. You can also play the games via the site and book and watch via OneFootball TV (for Apple tvOS, Android TV, Amazon Fire TV and Samsung TVs).

The sports subscription from DAZN is currently available from EUR 24.99 per month. This includes, among other things, all Friday and Sunday games in the Bundesliga.

Benefits and anticipation on both sides

OneFootball has over 100 million monthly active users – 75 percent are between 17 and 34 years old. This increases DAZN’s reach and, above all, optimizes the target group strategy.

OneFootball, on the other hand, makes its offer even more exclusive, improving the user experience and even making money in the process. Lucas von Cranach is pleased about the deal and is aiming for a long-term partnership:

We admire the platform and brand that DAZN has built and the way they have managed to reach and engage so many sports fans around the world. With our unique position in the football ecosystem and our deep understanding of the new generation of football fans and what they want, we are excited about this great collaboration.

Alice Mascia, CEO of DAZN DACH, says:

I’ve always been a fan of OneFootball and the way they connect football fans around the world, especially among the younger consumers. From this perspective, DAZN and OneFootball are a great fit as brands, as we both share the goal of innovating the way fans discover and watch their favorite sport.
