Buy a 9-euro ticket in the Bahn app – it’s that easy in the DB Navigator

You can buy the 9-euro ticket via the Bahn app and use it to travel “free” nationwide on local transport from June 1, 2022. I tried it out right away to see how it works. But there is a small catch.

Buy a 9-euro ticket in the Bahn app

As announced by many transport companies, one can buy the 9-euro ticket since May 23, 2022. Of course, it is particularly easy to use the train app. The ticket can be bought quickly and easily there. Small disadvantage? You must have a train account to actually be able to book the ticket. That’s exactly what I did because, like probably many others, I want to take the opportunity to use public transport more and leave the car at home more often. But the ticket is also ideal for one or the other spontaneous city trip.

Note: You will also receive the 9-euro ticket from the train via email as a PDF document. You can print this out and take it with you in case your cell phone gives up.
