There is another expansion for the Moto G series. This time Motorola presents the new Moto G200, as the successor to the well-received Moto G100. The new model features a blazing-fast processor, but what about the rest of the specs?

Moto G200 has been announced

A new smartphone is added to Motorola’s portfolio. We are introduced to the new Moto G200, which will succeed the Moto G100. Given the specifications, the device is placed in an even higher class. This proves the presence of the powerful Snapdragon 888+, a high-end processor with support for the 5G network. Thanks to Snapdragon Sound, everything from your media is also achieved, which, for example, should take music playback via Bluetooth to a higher level. There is also Dolby Atmos support with the Moto G200.

The display of the Moto G200 has received less attention. The Moto G200 has a 6.8-inch Full-HD+ LCD display with a refresh rate of 144Hz. It is striking that it does not have an OLED screen. For photography, there is a triple camera with a 108 megapixel main lens. According to Motorola, this should allow even more light, which should significantly improve the details and quality. The manufacturer also promises digital zoom without loss of quality. There is also a 13-megapixel wide-angle lens and a macro lens and you can film in 4K.

Like the Moto G100, the Moto G200 also supports the Ready For platform. This means that you can play the necessary content on a television or another (large) screen such as a monitor. Switching to this mode is lightning fast via the quick settings.

Moto g200

On board the new Motorola phone we find a 5000 mAh battery which can be charged quickly with 33W. 128GB of storage space is available, which cannot be expanded. The Moto G200 appears on the market with Android 11. Here we will of course find the My UX skin, where you can personalize the necessary again. There will be two years of security updates and one Android OS update. In the Netherlands, the device only appears in the color Stellar Blue for a price of 449.99 euros. In some other countries, the Moto G200 also appears in Glacier Green color. The smartphone will be available from early December.

It is striking that the Moto G200 offers an almost comparable device as the Motorola Edge 20. The latter even offers an OLED screen, the same camera setup, only a slightly smaller battery capacity and a processor that is slightly less faster on paper. However, the price is equal to that of the Moto G200 and two Android updates are promised for the Edge 20.
