Browser Item #1: Lover’s Bottle – Location
You’ll get the first rummager item halfway to the east. Here in the strait at mid-height between the main island in the middle and the neighboring island to the east you will find a cave on its coast. Swim in here and through to the back. Once there on accessible ground, turn right, look up and destroy the purple glowing but explosive mushroom hereto clear the way.
Now look around until you a floating box in the water finds. Pull this towards you with your grappling hook, then jump into the water, swim in the direction of the cave exit to the ledge on the right, climb up here again and then pull the crate towards you again. Then jump back into the water opposite the scaffolding, climb to the lower level and pull the crate back towards you with your grappling hook. Now you can jump onto the crate in order to reach the yellow ledge on the scaffolding by jumping from it.
- A notice: If you go into the cave with a dinghy, you can skip the part with the floating box. Just shoot the explosive mushroom from the dinghy and jump from the dinghy to the scaffolding on the right.
So once you’ve reached the upper level of the scaffolding, climb along the wall until the beam you can climb ends. Now jump to the beam behind you, climb up and jump to the right until you reach a gallery with a hanging ladder attached. You can now step down to make your way up easier in the future. At the top you will not only find a porous wall with Brimgleam behind it, but also the first looter item with the Lover’s Bottle.
Browser Item #2: Old Pot – Location
The second rummager item can be found in the very northeast of the map. This is a Slitherfang area, which means you’re in for a nasty fight. Behind the snaking tooth you see a small camp. In front of the small shelter with the red and white tarpaulin you will find a table, with the second looter item, the Old Pot, on it.
Browser Item #3: Music Box – Location
The music box, the third browse item, can be found in the north of the map. There is a fire climbing pine area here, in the middle of which there is an overgrown Hill with a mine shaft located in it. Enter this mineshaft and look around inside. In addition to Brimglanz and some other stuff, you will also find the music box you are looking for on a stack of boxes.
Scavenger Item #4: Scavenger’s Cap – Location
The Explorer’s Cap can be found in the south of the central main island, southwest of the relic ruins. Here you will find several tall buildings. Go here into the street between the buildings and look to the southwest to find scaffolding here. Climb up, step down the hanging ladder, then jump up and press the jump button again to pull yourself to a hold with your rope.
Do the same thing again and jump up again. Turn around and the taut rope slips down to the building opposite. Inside you climb up the handles and collect the brooch cap and thus brooch item number four in addition to the brim luster lying on a table.
Browser Item #5: Lucky Pig – Location
Go to the small island southwest of the relic ruin for the fifth rummager item. Here you will find a climbing jaws area as well as the remains of a collapsed building on the north-east coast. Climb around on its roof until you see a hatch below you that you can rip open with your grappling hook.
Once you’ve opened the hatch, climb through it and down the stairs. Inside you’ll find a corpse, a chest and the lucky pig you’re looking for lying on a vent. If you now open the door on the left, you will reach a campfire on the other side, inside the local ruins.
Browser Item #6: Hef the Hammer – Location
To the southwest, near a tide slasher area you will find the sixth rover item. This is conveniently located right next to or under a shelter that you can find here. Look from the campfire in the shelter to the southeast ledge where you’ll see a hanging ladder.
Step down the hanging ladder and then jump onto the platform below you, which is suspended from a crane, where you can also find some Brimglow. From here, turn to the cliff face and find a cave here. Jump in and collect the Hef, the hammer and the search item you are looking for inside.
Finder Item #7: Mighty Jar – Location
- A notice: You cannot enter the island of the last rummager item while the storm clouds above it to the west are still active. These are caused by a large petrel. Fly here with a sun wing or a water wing and follow the trail of the aerial shot here until you collide with the petrel. Then you have to defeat him in battle.
You will find the last rummager item at the very west of the map on the outermost island. As soon as the area has been cleared of the Petrel, you can land here without any problems. In addition, you can now open some buildings in which Brimglanz and other valuable loot are waiting for you. On the far west of the island is a larger building: Climb up, open the door and collect the last rummager item, the Mighty Mug, inside.
With these weapons you will be unbeatable in Horizon Forbidden West.
The Treasure of the Browsers: locality
If you have found all seven rummager objects, you have collected enough information to uncover and salvage the rummager’s treasure. Go to the Stöberer camp in the east, where this collection quest started. Continue east across the river and Northwest of Hatchery Theta, turn north.
Now follow the course of the beach to the north. On the ground you can see some grass and some driftwood. At one point (marked on the map) you will find it Driftwood that together make an X. As all treasure hunters know: “The X marks the spot.” Interact with the driftwood and after the brief blackout, open the chest to take the contents of the hunters’ treasure. In addition to the treasure, you will also receive the Trophy “Treasure of the Founders”. Want to unlock more trophies? We’ll tell you how to solve the “Dinosaurs in Numbers” quiz.
