The Nokia G50 has been officially presented. It is a large smartphone with a 6.81 inch screen, Android 12 and a chipset that supports 5G. Nokia also claims that the G50 has a battery that lasts two days. We discuss the features of this device.

Nokia announces a new smartphone for the G-series, which are devices from the low to the middle segment. What immediately stands out about the G50 is its screen size of 6.82 inches. It is an LCD screen with a resolution of 1640 x 720 pixels and a water drop notch. The Nokia logo can be seen at the bottom and the fingerprint scanner is incorporated in the side.
The G50 uses the Snapdragon 480 processor, one that comes with a 5G modem. We already know that chipset from the Nokia X20. It is not a speed demon, but it is a logical choice in this price segment. Nokia uses 4 GB of RAM and 64 GB or 128 GB of storage. You can also expand the storage via microSD. The battery, which should last for two days, is a 4850 mAh one. You can charge it with the 18-watt fast charger.

The Nokia G50 has three camera sensors on the back. The main one is the 48MP main camera, and there’s also a 5MP wide-angle sensor and a 2MP depth camera. in the notch of the screen you will find another 8 MP selfie camera. According to Nokia, the selfie camera was equipped with a software function that enables video stabilization.
Nokia phones work with Android One. That is, the G50 has a bare and efficient software shell that has even more advantages. The device already comes with Android 12 and will receive OS upgrades for two years (so certainly up to and including Android 14) and will also receive monthly security updates for three years.
