Bloober Team joins with Konami and Silent Hill is back on the table -apkrig

The Polish studio Bloober Team (Layers of Fear, Observer, Blair Witch, The Medium) announced the conclusion of a strategic partnership with the Japanese company Konami. Both companies are to work on joint projects, and we learn this information after months of speculation that Polish developers may be working on the new Silent Hill.

Bloober Team President Piotr Babieno said it was a historic day and the culmination of several years of work. “The fact that a reputable company like Konami has decided to work with the Bloober Team means that we have joined the world leaders in gaming and become an equal partner in this market,” said Babieno.

Already in February, the Bloober Team indicated that it was working on some famous horror brands from a very famous publisher.

Both parties should collaborate on content creation and share know-how. As expected, Konami also praises the cooperation and looks forward to what it will bring. From our point of view, however, it is much more interesting to remember what has been written on the account of the speculated Silent Hill from Bloober Team in recent months.

It has been repeatedly discussed that Polish haunted game specialists should be one of the studies that Konami has entrusted with the Silent Hill brand. Probably not the only one. According to various indications, another is to be created in Japan, possibly in Sony. Already in February, the Bloober Team indicated that it was working on some famous horror brands from a very famous publisher. Piotr Babieno did not say at the time what IP it was, but said that people would be excited.

Akira Jamaoka took a kiss on the walk

It is also worth remembering that the court composer of the Silent Hill series, Akira Jamaoka, participated in the soundtrack to The Medium. And you will certainly remember how he promised a big announcement in February, saying that it is a project that the players hope to exist. He then announced that it should be introduced in the summer. Apparently, he inadvertently revealed something in an interview for Al Hub magazine that he did not have, because later the website was forced to download this statement.

It is not clear what all this means for the next Silent Hill, which is to be created in Japan. Not even whether this will be the project from Sony, which has been talked about repeatedly since last spring. According to insiders, Konami was originally supposed to address the authors Until Dawn from the Supermassive Games studio with Silent Hill, but when they did not agree, the idea for the project became the episodic horror series The Dark Pictures Anthology.

You can find more details about the speculated new Silent Hill, or several possible games, in our older articles.
