Huawei continues to update older Honor devices with updates

Huawei and Honor have released more details about the rollout of updates for previously released Honor devices. Previously released smartphones from Honor will be kept by Huawei with updates.

Honor updates from Huawei

Honor is no longer part of Huawei. The company has been sold due to US sanctions. For a long time it was unclear what the future would look like for older Honor smartphones, after the sale of the company itself. Huawei and Honor have now provided more information about this. Huawei itself will continue to roll out updates for these devices.

Honor Finland confirms to colleagues from a Finnish website that Huawei will continue to roll out updates for Honor devices for the rest of its lifecycle. This concerns Honor devices released before April 1, 2021. Honor therefore takes on this task for devices that appeared after April 1.
