BioShock 4 is supposed to take us to Antarctica in the 1960s -apkrig

Just days after the alleged first concrete information about the new BioShock leaked, we received further details from unofficial sources. In the Sacred Symbols program, journalist Colin Moriarty claims that the fourth BioShock is set in a fictional city in Antarctica in the 1960s. In addition, his information is independently confirmed by Video Games Chronicle or Eurogamer magazines. The story of the game should be connected with the previous parts, and the novelty from the Cloud Chamber studio is supposed to come out next year, which is earlier than previously speculated.

There have been reports that the game was due to be unveiled at The Game Awards next week, but that this event will not happen until next year.

The Arctic City is said to be named Borealis, and the project code is said to be Parkside. The title is obviously coming under great pressure and under strict secrecy, because everyone is aware that the novelty will be compared to Ken Levin’s games, which set the bar very high. There have been reports that the game was due to be unveiled at The Game Awards next week, but that this event will not happen until next year.

New information does not necessarily seem to be inconsistent with some of the previous ones. Although the polar city has returned to the game, the previously indicated subtitle Isolation is still mentioned. However, it is not clear whether this applies to all the details that the insider, nicknamed Oops Leaks, came up with a few days ago. He argued, for example, that the development would still require several years of work. He attracted to an open world, an innovative combat system, imaginative side quests or a system of factions.

The border zone should also be interesting, where there will probably be an escalation of the rampant conflict, which should lead to the so-called vertical war.

But most of all, he was talking about a pair of interconnected cities. While in the city upstairs, according to him, rich people are supposed to live in apparent perfection, directly below the city is its more corrupt version, led by an unnamed dictator with a desire to wage war against the other city. The border zone should also be interesting, where there will probably be an escalation of the rampant conflict, which should lead to the so-called vertical war. According to Oops Leaks, all of this is to be powered by Unreal Engine 5, and former Watch Dogs developers: Legion, Tomb Raider, Deus Ex or Mafia III are to be involved in the project. Some points of both escapes can be connected, others are more contradictory, whether they are the cause of inaccuracy or some untruth.

2K announced a new BioShock without further details in 2019. The Irrational Games studio and Ken Levine are no longer working on it, but his next project, which is being created within the Ghost Story Games team, will also be released under the wings of Take-Two Interactive. However, some important developers of older games have joined the work on continuing and studying the Cloud Chamber. Of course, this is not the first time that someone else has taken over the BioShock brand. The second part was created in the studio in the 2K Marin studio, and even though I personally still liked it a lot, fans like it less.

You can find more details about other BioShock in our older articles.
