The GGD can therefore not only assist you in the Netherlands, but thanks to the app you also benefit from the expertise of the people of the Dutch health service abroad. For example, you can read what to do if you have been hit by a jellyfish or if you are very easily nauseous and go out with a boat. In any case, it is very good to know which vaccinations are required, so download the app a month before you go on holiday to check whether you do not need to stock up on malaria pills or whether you still need to visit the GGD for an injection.

Packpoint

Packpoint is an app that is best used before your journey starts, because it shows you exactly what you need to take with you. Of course you would prefer to take all those nice clothes with you and see what it will be on holiday, but it doesn’t work that way. You can’t take everything with you and you shouldn’t want to. Packpoint helps you: it can’t tell you what to wear, but it can tell you how many outfits you need if you go to Morocco for a week or to Zanzibar for three weeks. Plus, everything else you need for a successful vacay. The app can even look at rides and give extra packing advice if you’re going to do them.

If you’re on a diet, vacation can sometimes be a long search on TripAdvisor to find a suitable restaurant. HappyCow keeps track of which restaurants have good vegetarian or vegan options and you can also indicate if you have a gluten intolerance, for example, to find a nice eatery for that.
