This series is definitely not for the faint of heart and has rightly been rated FSK 18. What is “From” about?
The first ten episodes of the mystery series lead to a small US town that has no name. When darkness falls, everyone has to go to their homes, because bloodthirsty figures then come out of the deep forests around. The buildings are protected by talismans that prevent monsters from entering unless you let them in. Unfortunately, there is no escape from this nightmare, because once you land here, every path inevitably leads back to this dystopian place. The same goes for the Matthews family of four who are stranded here. But father Jim (Eion Bailey) and mother Tabitha (Catalina Sandino Moreno) do not simply surrender to their fate, but search for answers. Why are you here? Could it be that they are no longer alive? By the end of season one, we’re left with more questions than answers.

Why is “From” so worth watching?
The series manages to convince even die-hard genre fans and was able to Rotten Tomatoes garnered a whopping 96% approval rating. But what makes “From” so popular? Above all, the series manages to create tension in the viewers. The scenery alone gives you goosebumps. But it’s also the characters that are drawn so convincingly. Splatter fans will also get their money’s worth here. The victims get really badly mauled by the monsters. But it’s also the mystery factor and the unanswered questions that linger at the end of Season 1. How did they get to this place? Where do the talismans come from? And of course most importantly: can they ever leave the city alive again? So it’s no wonder that fans have been looking forward to the sequel for months. Let’s see what season 2 will provide in the way of reconnaissance and whether the sequel can keep up the excitement. With a complete resolution of the mystery is not to be expected, because rumors are already talking about the imminent start of production of a third season (via moviesr.net).
