As you can read, the brand new weather forecast app Flux is still in a testing phase, but you can already install it from the Play Store. The app also gives you a lot of good reasons to install, primarily because of the good design. Flux looks very fresh with beautiful illustrations and the app is very clear. The app also shows information about the wind that day and there is a handy widget that you can add to the home screen.

SloGrill Lite

Now that the sun’s rays are once again settling over our country, we already dream aloud about barbecuing. SloGrill Lite is the ultimate app for barbecue fans, as it helps you take your cooking skills to the next level. You can take notes during cooking and save your findings after each cooking session for the next time. You also give your performance a score and you keep it in the logbook. The app also connects with different types of smart thermometers for your barbecue, so you can consult the temperature fluctuations during the cooking session in a graph. In addition, the app works with Wear OS and you can set timers and receive notifications when the food needs to be turned. SloGrill Lite comes from the developer of the Domoticz app.

Appt

There are about 300,000 Dutch people with a visual impairment and 80,000 are blind. Appt shows you what it’s like to experience an app using a screen reader like Google TalkBack. You will learn about the accessibility options and there is also a knowledge base with news articles that teach developers how to optimize apps for people with a visual impairment. The Appt Foundation hopes in this way to convince more developers to make accessible apps.

Teamy

It can be quite a job to properly coordinate communication within a sports team, and Teamy can lend a hand with that. You can track which members of the team were present for each activity and members can send a notification in case of absence. You can also communicate with each other via the app and the team manager can plan activities. You can also load activities from different sports associations and add the maximum number of participants. Furthermore, the app allows team administrators to set up tasks for members and everyone can link the app’s program to their current calendar.
