Beam me up, Denny boy!

Denny Crane is back. Denny who? If you can’t answer this question, you haven’t seen the best and most bizarre legal drama in the world. “Boston Legal” once ran on TV, gave “Captain Kirk” a new star role and will finally be back on TV from December 14th – Disney + makes it possible.

Disney+ brings Boston Legal back to TV – finally!

Fans and those who want to become one had to wait a long time for this. But now it’s clear: All 5 seasons of “Boston Legal” are finished from December 14, 2022 Available for on-demand on Disney+. If you don’t know David E. Kelley’s grandiose legal series, you should definitely take a look.

At the heart of the action are the two main actors – James Spader as Alan Shore and William “Captain Kirk” Shatner as Denny Crane. Not only do the two deliver a firework of dialogue, which has never happened before. All other comrades-in-arms in front of the camera also deliver first-class performances. The series thrives on bizarre yet absolutely relevant cases, wordplay and a self-ironic view.

William Shatner’s cigar almost falls out of the gully:

By the way, “Boston Legal” originally ran on television between 2004 and 2008 on ABC in the USA, in Germany with a little delay between 2006 and 2010 on Vox. In the meantime you could watch the series on Amazon Prime Video, but that was a long time ago. Now Disney+ has taken heart and brought the antics of the Boston law firm “Crane, Poole & Schmidt” back to TV.

How good is the series?

In the IMdB enough for phenomenal 8.5 out of 10 points, Rotten Tomatoes awards a similarly good 86 percent, the viewers even a crazy 93 percent. All this was also rewarded with a large number of Emmy Awards. Ergo: Look! The author of these lines will probably tune in again and again and enjoy all 101 episodes in peace.

Disney+ and Co are catching up to Netflix more and more:

Unfortunately there is no sequel to this day. But maybe Disney + will bring back the “mother series”. The characters Alan Shore and Denny Crane were originally introduced in the final season of Practice. So Boston Legal is a spin off, which could even surpass the predecessor, at least in terms of quality. With “Ally McBeal” it already worked on Disney+. Fun Fact: All three series are set in the same TV universe created by producer David E. Kelley.
