Asus will probably launch ROG Phone with the Snapdragon 888 chipset soon
Asus is working on his next one ROG phone with Snapdragon 888 chipset. It should be revealed relatively soon. Asus’s standard new gaming phones will be released in July, but now the company will probably make an exception. It can be assumed that this is mainly due to the new chipset, and Asus will certainly not want to be left behind and wait another more than half a year for the introduction of another model.
Asus ROG Phone with Snapdragon 888 chipset
The phone appeared as ASUS_I005DA and ASUS_I005DB in the GeekBench benchmark and reveals the Snapdragon 888 chipset, otherwise known as Lahaina. It would make sense for the phone to be called Asus ROG Phone 4, but maybe the company will skip this number and see Asus ROG Phone 5 right away. Reason? The word is in Chinese “four” similar to the word “death”, so Chinese manufacturers often omit this labeling altogether. The MySmartPrice website came up with this hypothesis.
Unfortunately, the benchmark did not tell us any further information about this model. All we know is that he is here 8 GB RAM and Android 11 running on it. There is speculation that the phone will offer a completely new design that will be quite different from current ROG phones. The performance could theoretically take place sometime in February.
