ARD program deletes Luisa Neubauer from the guest list

She is the German face of Fridays for Future: Luisa Neubauer. Like no other, the 26-year-old stands for the climate movement. That makes Neubauer a welcome guest on talk shows. In the ARD program “Hart aber fair” she will be missing in the future.

Tomorrow, Monday, January 9, 2023, “Hart aber fair” will return to TV screens at 9 p.m. Contrary to what the well-known name and broadcasting time would suggest, viewers of the political talk have to be prepared for a major innovation: Louis Klamroth. The 33-year-old takes over from Frank Plasberg, who is giving up moderation after 22 years. The change in front of the camera also has unexpected consequences for the guest list.

Relationship with moderator: Luisa Neubauer is no longer allowed to “Hard but fair”

Climate activist Luisa Neubauer will in future no longer be a guest in the ARD talk. The reason: You and Klamroth are one Pair. “It goes without saying that my partner will not be a guest on my show,” said the Plasberg successor in an interview with DWDL. Journalistic independence is Klamroth’s principle and the public has a right to transparency (source: DWDL).

Luisa Neubauer has often been a guest on the political talk show in recent years. In the future, the 26-year-old will be absent from “Hart aber fair”.

However, the ARD audience does not have to do without Brigitte Büscher. The woman who always presents viewer feedback at the end of the show is stay part of the team. “If only because it’s incredibly popular with the audience – and rightly so,” explains Klamroth. He was happy that she wanted to stay.

Anyone who wants to become active in environmental and climate protection:

Klamroth doesn’t want to be a wrecking ball

In any case, the new moderator does not want to be a wrecking ball that turns everything upside down in “Hart aber fair”. But Klamroth will try to “change and develop” the show. ARD viewers will see how well that works from January.
