‘Apple Watch ‘Explorer edition’ has sturdy housing and larger screen’
According to several sources, Apple is coming with an extra sturdy Apple Watch, which survives even the most extreme sports. In this article you can read everything about the as yet unannounced watch.

Apple is working on an Apple Watch with a housing that is sturdier than the regular model. That writes Bloomberg, a well-known and reliable source of Apple rumours. Surprisingly, the watch will reportedly get a screen larger than any other Apple Watch screen. It would be a 1.99 inch display, so the housing is expected to grow a bit.
Whether the screen of the Apple Watch Series 8 will also change size is not yet completely certain. According to Bloomberg is the new screen size ‘one of the key features‘ of the sturdy watch. The chance is therefore small that the regular model will also get a larger display. The ‘Explorer Edition’, as the sports watch in the corridors is called, shows more information during workouts with its larger screen.
To make the new watch sturdier, Apple omits the aluminum version. The iPhone maker will probably opt for a stronger material, such as steel or titanium. The Watch also gets a larger battery; because the housing and screen grow, there is room for this. Unfortunately, all this leads to a higher price tag. The ‘Explorer edition’ would be even more expensive than the steel Apple Watch Series 7 with 4G support.
More about the future of the Apple Watch
Apple will announce three new watches this fall. These are the Apple Watch Series 8, the new Apple Watch SE and the extra sturdy Apple Watch that this article is about. Unfortunately, the watches are rumored to be not getting any new health sensors. The arrival of a blood sugar meter has been talked about for years, but it is not yet ready for use.
