Apple TV+: all about the main new features of 2022 (Luck, Cha Cha Real Smooth, Raymond & Ray, Argylle, etc.)
The year 2022 will allow AppleTV+ to pass a milestone regarding the frequency of new features that arrive in the service. During his last Keynote Peek Performance, Apple thus unveiled a trailer presentation of the films, series and documentaries planned for Apple TV + this year, the opportunity also to confirm dates and to reveal the unseen sequences of several novelties which we had barely heard of so far. It is probably time to make a detailed assessment of these announcements, without forgetting what is happening in the much closer future.
We start the meal tour with Cha Cha Real Smoothwinner of Sundance Film Festival 2022 in the category of best dramatic film. This romantic comedy-drama directed by Cooper Raiff features a fresh off college graduate (Cooper Raiff again) stuck at home with his family working as a bar mitzvah party planner who ends up forming a romantic relationship with a young woman (dakota johnson), the latter also being the mother of a teenager. The movie Cha Cha Real Smooth will be available on Apple TV+ on June 17, 2022.

Luckan animated film co-directed by John Lasseter (creator of Toy Story and former artistic director of Pixar) and produced by Skydance Animation, tells the story of the luckiest girl in the world. The latter will find herself embarked despite herself on an extraordinary adventure taking place in a fantastic world. the cast American is more than attractive, with Jane Fonda, Whoopi Goldberg, Eva Noblezada, Simon Pegg, Flula Borg, Lil Rel Howery, Colin O’Donoghue, John Ratzenberger and Adelynn Spoon. Luck will be available on Apple TV+ on August 5.
In the fall of 2022, Apple TV+ will be entitled to a feature-length documentary, Black & Blues: The Colorful Ballad of Louis Armstrong, which will provide a deep look at the life and legacy of the famous musician who founded jazz. This documentary film is produced by Imagine Documentaries. African-American personalities are in the spotlight on Apple TV+ since this summer, the platform will host another documentary film, produced by Oprah Winfrey and made by Reginald Hudlin, on the fate of actor Sidney Poitier. The documentary Number One on the Call Sheet will focus on African-American Hollywood stars, and on April 22 on Apple TV+, the 4-part documentary They Call Me Magic will retrace the prestigious career of the NBA player Magic Johnson.
Always towards the end of the year, the film Raymond & Ray will follow the fate of half-brothers Raymond and Ray (played by Ewan McGregor and Ethan Hawke), who try to rebuild themselves after suffering the brutal methods of education of their father.
The dramatic comedy The Greatest Beer Run Ever will star Zac Efron and Russell Crowe in a film based on the true story of John “Chickie” Donohue, who left New York in 1968… to bring beers to soldiers who went to fight in Viet-Nam! The Greatest Beer Run Ever is directed by peter farrelly (Dumb & Dumber), which should earn us serious moments of confusion.
Again and again planned for 2022, the documentary The Sound of 007 will celebrate the 60th anniversary of the franchise in its own way james bond At the movie theater.
During the holiday season, Apple TV+ subscribers will be able to split the pear with Spiriteda musical based on the work of Charles Dickens “A Christmas Carol” with Ryan Reynolds, will ferrell and Octavia Spencer featured.
Always towards the end of the year, Emancipation will stage Antoine Fuqa and Will Smith to tell the true story of Peter, a black slave who in 1863 fled the plantation where he was tortured almost daily.
Also eagerly awaited Killers of the Flower Moon of Martin Scorsese is based on the true (and terrifying) story of the serial murders of members of the Osage Native American nation, a series of brutal crimes known as the “Reign of Terror”. The cast is very high, with in particular Leonardo DiCaprio, Robert De Niro, Lily Gladstone, Jesse Plemons and John Lithgow (among others).

Surprise from the Apple TV+ teaser of the keynotes, the spy thriller Argyle will stage Henry Cavill (accompanied in a very surprising way), Bryce Dallas Howard, Sam Rockwell, Bryan Cranston, Catherine O’Hara, Dua Lipa, Ariana DeBose, John Cena and Samuel L.Jackson. Very beautiful people, therefore, in a film that should mix elements of the genre with pure comedy, which is somewhat the trademark of director Matthew Vaughn (Kingsman, Kick-Ass).
The Thriller Sharperbased on a screenplay by Brian Gatewood and Alessandro Tanaka, will feature Julianne Moore, Sebastian Stan, Justice Smith, Briana Middleton and John Lithgow. This feature film deals with organized fraud in the bourgeois milieu of Manhattan.
The film Tetris will focus on the development of the video game of the same name and the legal battle for its rights. This feature film is directed by Jon S. Baird, for whom this is his first film production. Tetris developer Alexey Pajitnov will be played by Nikita Efremov, Henk Rogers by Taron Egerton, Mikhail Gorbachev by Matthew Marsh and Robert Stein by Toby Jones.
In the list of very big expectations, impossible to miss the Napoleon of Ridley Scottwith Joaquin Phoenix in the role of the French statesman and military leader as well as vanessa kirby in the role of Josephine.
Ghostedan action and romance film, features a sexy cast (the couple Chris Evans and Ana de Armas), the animated feature Spellbound of Skydance Animation will follow the adventures of a young girl who sets out to break the spell that has split her kingdom in two, and The Beanie Bubbleinspired by the story of one of the greatest movements that swept through American culture in the 90s, will star Elizabeth Banks, Zach Galifianakis, Sarah Snook and Geraldine Viswanathan.
In bulk again, Bad Blood by Adam McKay, a film about the rise and fall of Theranos CEO Jennifer Lawrence as Holmes, Flangea genre film produced by and with Scarlett Johansson, Snowblind with Jake Gyllenhaal, a biopic on Sue Mengers (still played by Jennifer Lawrence), Dollya feature film written by Vanessa Taylor and Drew Pearce with Florence Pugh featured (adapted from Judy Heumann’s bestselling memoir Being Heumann by Siân Heder); a biopic on Audrey Hepburn, and finally a thriller with George Clooney and brad pitt written and directed by Jon Watts.
