Apple today raises the price to replace the iPhone battery
Apple had warned and it is now a reality: since March 1, 2023, replace your iphone battery now costs more. This concerns all models except the iPhone 14.
Here is what Apple said in its announcement:
The current out-of-warranty battery service fee will apply until the end of February 2023. Effective March 1, 2023, the out-of-warranty battery service fee will increase by €24 for all models. iPhones prior to iPhone 14.
The prices for changing the battery of your iPhone from March 1, 2023 range from €79 to €119, here are the different prices:
- iPhone 5s: €79 (€55 previously)
- iPhone 6 and 6 Plus: €79 (€55 previously)
- iPhone 6s and 6s Plus: €79 (previously €55)
- iPhone 7 and 7 Plus: €79 (€55 previously)
- iPhone 8 and 8 Plus: €79 (€55 previously)
- iPhone SE (2016, 2020 and 2022): €79 (€55 previously)
- iPhone X: €99 (€79 previously)
- iPhone XS, XS Max and XR: €99 (€79 previously)
- iPhone 11 (all models): €99 (previously €79)
- iPhone 12 (all models): €99 (previously €79)
- iPhone 13 (all models): €99 (previously €79)
- iPhone 14 (all models): €119 (unchanged)
Apple has also made a price increase to replace the battery of the iPad. It takes 149€ from today, which represents an increase of 40€ compared to the previous price.
It doesn’t stop there, since there is also an increase for Macs. It costs €185 (+€36 compared to the old price) for the MacBook Air and €289 (+€60 compared to the old price) for the MacBook Pro and the 12-inch MacBook.
