Apple snags a great record with the iPhone 12
It’s unbelievable, but Apple does it again and with the iPhone 12 drags in a record.
When would the world be saturated with iPhones? Not any time soon. The smartphones of the American tech company Apple are unstoppable. Model upon model are an unparalleled success. With the iPhone 12, Apple even managed to set a record when it comes to sales.
iPhone 12 record sales
In a span of just seven months, Apple has sold a whopping 100 million units of the iPhone 12. This makes it the best-selling iPhone to date. The previous record was held by its predecessor, the iPhone 11. This smartphone took nine months to reach those 100 million sales. According to CounterPoint Research.
While the smartphone such as an iPhone 12 mini is a disappointment, the other variants are popular with consumers. There is a choice of an iPhone 12, Pro and Pro Max. That brings the total to four variants. The fact that there are several variants also helps to achieve such a record. Years ago you only had two or just one iPhone model.
Apple was initially met with surprised looks when the company launched the iPhone 12 last year. The brand was in fact one of the first companies that no longer supplied a plug charger with the telephone. Apparently, customers don’t care much about that, according to the sales figures.
