Apple Reality coming in spring (just a little patience)

According to the usually reliable Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, the Apple Reality will be presented in the spring. When can we really expect the glasses?

Read on after the ad.

Mixed-reality headset from Apple coming up

Rumors have been circulating for years about AR/VR glasses from Apple, previously known as Apple Glass. The glasses probably only work in combination with an iPhone, just like the Apple Watch. The name has now been adapted to Apple Reality – in the incredibly long production process.

It is possible that Apple will build in a ‘standalone mode’ with the glasses. This allows users to use a limited number of functions without an active iPhone connection. That is because the AR / VR glasses are expected to simply have a processor and a graphics chip on board. According to the latest news, the Apple Reality will appear this spring.

Kuo expects the Apple Reality this spring

Indeed, the usually reliable Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo has predicted that Apple will present its first headset at the company’s spring event. As a result, we can perhaps expect the Apple Reality in the spring. If this is still too early, Kuo expects the presentation of the headset at Apple’s WWDC (Worldwide Developers Conference) in June.

How reliable this prediction actually is remains to be seen, because the analyst previously predicted that the glasses would appear in January. For the time being, the release date is therefore constantly shifting, but it is clear that Apple’s first headset is getting closer.

Headset is delayed by drop test

Production of the Apple Reality has reportedly been delayed due to drop test issues. In all likelihood, Apple is not yet satisfied with the sturdiness of the headset, which makes the device (too) vulnerable if it falls. There will be a hefty price tag on the Apple Reality, so it is of course nice if it does not break down with the smallest fall.

Production was also delayed due to the development of the correct software for the headset. This will be Apple’s first mixed-reality headset, which presents the company with many technological challenges. Logically, developing the right software therefore takes some time.

Apple Reality: This is what we know so far

More and more is slowly becoming clear about Apple Reality. According to the latest rumors, the glasses have the crown that we know from the Apple Watch, with which the image can be switched between virtual mode and transparent mode. Here’s what we know so far about Apple’s first headset.
