Apple Maps: the detailed 3D experience improves in Paris
Apple Maps offers a 3D experience for some cities and Paris is on the list. The group has this week improved the visual rendering, such as the underline Justine O’Beirne.
As we can see from the GIF, the 3D Paris experience in Apple Maps includes more detail than before. The same is true when looking at multiple buildings, with detail, color, and even more precision than before.
Here’s how Apple presented its feature during its presentation in 2021:
Apple Maps offers a new way to navigate cities with a visually stunning 3D map that offers never-before-seen detail about neighborhoods, shopping areas, marinas, buildings and more. Users can now see a city’s elevation details, new street labels, and hundreds of custom landmarks such as Coit Tower in San Francisco, Dodger Stadium in Los Angeles, Statue of Liberty in New York and the Royal Albert Hall in London, with many more to come. A beautiful night mode with a moonlight glow activates at dusk.
Unfortunately, this feature is limited to a few cities around the world. In France, Apple is currently focusing on the capital. At least that’s the case when it comes to the 3D experience. For cycling routes, it has been available for a few days in France.
