Free repair for iPhones with sound problems
According to Apple, a “very small percentage” of the iPhone 12 and 12 Pro models in circulation experience audio issues during calls. A component on the receiver module is more likely to fail than normal. The iPhones that are more at risk of the defect were manufactured between October 2020 and April 2021.
The problem is causing no sound to come out of the receiver when making a call. Owners of a faulty iPhone 12 (Pro) may be eligible for a free repair. The iPhone 12 mini and iPhone 12 Pro Max are not affected by the issue. These two models are therefore not part of the service program.
This is how you get your iPhone 12 (Pro) repaired
Do you have an iPhone 12 (Pro) with sound problems? You can now make an appointment at an Apple Store or an Apple Authorized Service Provider. You can also contact Apple Support. Here you can arrange a repair by mail, or ask all your burning questions.
iPhone 12 or 12 Pro models that have damage that prevents the repair from being completed, such as a cracked screen, must be repaired first. The repair program covers affected iPhones for two years after sale.
