Upgrade for Siri on Apple TV: SiriGPT coming?
If you use Siri a lot on your Apple TV, iPhone or iPad, we have good news. According to various reports, Apple is working on new language features for the voice assistant. These new functions should ensure that Siri sounds more ‘natural’.
At this point, Apple has built the feature for Siri into the beta of tvOS 16.4 on Apple TV. The Cupertino company is using the new feature to have Siri tell jokes on the small media box. In addition, we are looking to use the new, more natural speech when setting timers.
Although Apple has only enabled the Siri function on Apple TV at this time, the necessary program code can also be found on the iPhone, iPad, Mac and HomePod. The option is just not enabled there.
Still, you shouldn’t immediately think that Apple is working on some kind of SiriGPT. The reliable Apple specialist Mark Gurman also says that Apple has no plans for a Siri chatbot yet. Apple can use the artificial intelligence to significantly improve the existing Siri assistant.

At the event, which was only intended for Apple employees, the company did not make any major statements about the development of its own chatbot.
