According to the US company, only automatically renewable subscriptions are excluded from the price increase. The new price structure is due both to new regulations and to the weak euro compared to the US dollar.

In Vietnam, for example, Apple will have to collect and pay taxes in accordance with new laws. According to the company, this includes both value added tax (VAT) and corporate income tax (CIT), each of which has a rate of 5 percent.

As early as October 5, 2022, prices for apps and in-app purchases (excluding auto-renewable subscriptions) on the App Store in Chile, Egypt, Japan, Malaysia, Pakistan, Poland, South Korea, Sweden, Vietnam and all territories, using the euro increased.

App providers can maintain pricing for existing subscribers

Because: The new price levels give developers a range within which they can offer their applications and offers. Those who offer subscriptions can also keep the prices for existing subscribers.
