Apecoin is already worth a lot of money!
Last week the digital coin Apecoin was launched and it is already worth a lot of money.
Brilliant move of course. The creators of NFTs, specifically that of Bored Ape Club, launching a crypto. That certainly gets a lot of attention. And yes, then the currency continues to rise. Since the token was launched last week, the digital currency Apecoin (APE) has been a hot topic of conversation. Particularly within the cryptocurrency community on forums and social media.
Smart move
So far, just over 82% of claimable APE has been claimed and 13,672 unique addresses have received APE from the airdrop. Meanwhile, the creators of Bored Ape Yacht Club (BAYC) have shared a video. Showing a BAYC metaverse featuring an assortment of other popular non-fungible token (NFT) characters.
More specifically, Apecoin DAO announced that “15% of Apecoin’s total supply will be made available to [Bored Ape Yacht Club] NFT holders’. These are Bored Apes and Mutant Apes, as well as BAKC dogs in combination with BAYC or MAYC.
Apecoin worth more than $1 billion
At present, Apecoin (APE) has a market cap of approximately $1.53 billion. With a circulating supply of 131,188,484 APE. APE is owned by 28,681 owners. At the time of writing, the ERC20 has recorded 157,982 onchain transactions since its inception. In the grand scheme of the entire $1.9 trillion crypto economy, APE represents 0.08% of that value. On Saturday, APE saw nearly $2 billion in global trading volume. With Binance being the leading exchange in terms of APE trading volume.
82.25% of the claimable 15% of Apecoins has been acquired by NFT owners. 15,182 unique addresses are eligible to claim APE and to date 13,672 addresses have claimed tokens.
