Android TV 11 is said to be heading to almost all Nvidia Shield TVs
Nvidia seems to be once again showing its fans, customers and competitors what proper software support means. According to records from the Google Play Console, to put it simply, the device records and their compatibility with each version of the Android system, with Android TV 11 is ready for almost all Shield TV devices.
If you immediately thought of the original Shield of 2015, then yes, this piece as well, originally sold with Android 5.0, according to the list of “eleven”. Which is really a very rare thing in terms of official updates from the manufacturer. By switching to Android 11 TV, this piece of hardware would complete the sixth generation update.
I guess @NVIDIASHIELD update to #AndroidTV 11 is near !
All the models (except darcy) are showing as compatible with 11 in the Google Play Console. Just check how many updates the 2015 model received ! pic.twitter.com/zKnWb4iWSS

The Twitter account @AndroidTV_Rumor rushed to the information, noting that the only device in this series that is missing in the Google Play Console Android TV 11 is the version “Darcy” from 2017. However, due to the presence of quite older Shields this may be an error. If these records turn out to be a real update schedule, the owners of the oldest Nvidia Shield TV have something to look forward to. And we’re taking off our hats.
Which generations of Shield have you tried?
