Android security update August 2021: 36 vulnerabilities addressed
Another month, another security update. Google released the August 2021 security update for Android. The latest security patch released for Android brings yet another series of improvements to the security of your Android device.
Security Update August 2021
Every month, Google releases a new security patch for the Android operating system. That is now also the case, because the eighth patch of 2021 is ready. First up are the Pixel devices, which will gradually be offered the August 2021 security update from now on. For the devices from the Pixel series, a new fix is also brought together with the patch that relates to the Google Assistant.
A total of 36 patches will be closed with the August 2021 security update. This is the total number. Some patches are specific to devices with a certain type of processor or other components. In the coming period, manufacturers will make updates available for their devices, including the security update from August.
