Android loses much more value than an iPhone
Do you have a nice flagship of Android? Unfortunately, such an Android loses its value much faster and more than a comparable iPhone.
If you buy a new smartphone, you may use it for two, three or four years. After that it’s time for a new one, isn’t it? You can give your old smartphone to a friend or family member, but you can also sell it. Sometimes a smartphone like that delivers quite a nice amount. You can then see this as a ‘discount’ for your next smartphone.
Android value against iPhone
If you have an iPhone, you have the best chance of having a nice amount left over. Research from BankMyCell shows that an iPhone seems to retain its value much better compared to an Android smartphone. An Android loses about 33.62 percent with a trade-in after two years of use, while an iPhone loses only 16.70 percent in value.
Among other things, a flagship like the Samsung Galaxy S20 Ultra was looked at in this comparison. This smartphone loses 36.30 percent in value. Its competitor, the iPhone 11 Pro Max, only loses 15.96 percent value. Not only Samsung smartphones are screwed. The value of devices from Google, Sony, HTC and Motorola also drops like a brick over time.
