Android Auto will soon be able to control even a home camera or thermostat
With the arrival of the flagship Samsung Galaxy S21 mobile line, several interesting waves in terms of software have been launched. Even Google has informed about the new smartphones of the Korean brand on its blog and for good reason. He developed with Samsung and beyond develops several interesting features. For example, the American giant has confirmed that the Android Auto environment will support Samsung’s SmartThings service. The one that is to cover smart products and elements of a smart home not only of this brand. Through the application SmartThings will officially control the devices and components of Google Nest, which opens up interesting possibilities.
In practice, this means that it will be possible to switch cameras, switch vacuum cleaners or control thermostats from the car display, for example. Or maybe turn on a smart light in front of the house when you arrive at the garage. There would certainly be many practical benefits. Android Auto should gradually integrate SmartThings into the control interface from next week. For the time being, the novelty will probably be limited to the new S21 series, but further expansion would be logical. The application and the entire SmartThings environment probably have a bright future ahead of them, Samsung obviously thinks very seriously about it.
For what purpose will you possibly use this option?
