Android Auto app gets Material You design from Google

A new update is being rolled out for the Android Auto app. The new version of the application brings a whole new design to the app; the well-known Material You design. The current design dates from 2020 and not much has changed in the meantime.

Android Auto is a handy addition for on the go. Especially if you have the appropriate means for this in the car; like an in-car entertainment screen. You just need to connect your phone (wired or wireless) and you’re ready to go. This Android Auto app has now been given a new look with the Material You design. Those who have signed up for the beta will get the new interface first. It will soon be rolled out to the final version.

The Android Auto app brings a light and dark theme, and the switches for the settings are also cast in the Material You style. It is not known when the new version will be rolled out to everyone. For now we have to make do with the pictures that have appeared.
