Android 14 will collect all your fitness data in one place
It seems that Android 14 will be provided with a useful addition. Users will probably gain convenient access to their fitness data in the new version. This is because it is bundled in one overview, a welcome improvement.
Android 14 collects your fitness data
When you use different apps to track your exercise activities, it can be a chore to bundle this data in one app. We recently wrote about the Health Sync app that does this job for you, but Google is said to be working on a new feature in Android 14. This feature should bundle fitness data from different applications and services and collect it in one place. Google would like to use the previously presented Health Connect for this. With this, certain fitness apps can already be synchronized with each other, although the range is rather limited.
The program should serve as an encrypted and offline intermediary that collects the data from the apps. For example, you can collect your cycling performance from one app and bundle it with data from your smartwatch in one overview. The first Android 13 QPR2 Beta 1 already contains the first indications for the presence of Health Connect extensions, which confirms the suspicion that Google is adding the functionality to Android 14.
We expect more information about this in the future, but this can certainly be a feature that will be of added value to many users.
