Nothing will provide its only smartphone with the first beta version of Android 14. This rollout will start ‘soon’.

Android 14 Beta 1 for the Nothing Phone (1)

Nothing is a new player in the smartphone market and launched its very first smartphone in 2022: the Nothing Phone (1). The Nothing Phone (1) came on the market with Android 12 and its own Nothing OS. A little later, the phone received Android 13. With this, the brand fulfills its promise of three years of Android upgrades (Android 13, Android 14 and Android 15). Furthermore, the phone can count on four years of support for security updates.

Now it’s time for the next new Android version and it needs to be tested first. It concerns Android 14 Beta 1, which Google is also testing at the moment and has caused a lot of problems on Pixel phones. The Nothing Phone (1) will be one of the first non-Google phones to also work with the beta version of Android 14.

Whether the successor to the Nothing Phone (2) will also be released with Android 14 is still uncertain. This device is not expected until the end of 2023.
