There is good news to report for the owners of the devices from the Galaxy S22 series. Samsung has started updating the three devices to Android 13 in the Netherlands and Belgium. We wrote about the update over the weekend, which was then rolled out in Italy. So now it’s our turn. The update also brings the news of One UI 5. Samsung is, after OnePlus, the second manufacturer to roll out the update to Android 13 for a non-Pixel device. Samsung is now rolling out the update to Android 13 for the Galaxy S22, the Galaxy S22+ and the Galaxy S22 Ultra. Thanks to the new update, you get access to a lot of improvements and new features. This is combined with One UI 5, the latest skin from Samsung.

New functions

Users with a Galaxy S22 get more color choice for the color palette, with the interface colors adapted to that of the set background. There are also more, smarter settings for the widgets and you can use various refinements in the user interface. There are also new features in Android 13; for example, you can set per app in which language you want it to be opened from now on. You also get even better and more insight into privacy, and you also gain insight into this faster thanks to the new security screen.

In Android 13 with One UI 5, users also get fine-tuned sound and vibration settings. The camera app has also been slightly adjusted, so that you can get useful tips in Pro mode, for example. The new zoom bar makes it possible to quickly shoot close-up and zoom photos. This update helps those with visual impairments through accessibility options, including spoken assistance through audio descriptions.
