Android 13 rollout started in Europe
Big news from Samsung. The manufacturer has started updating the Galaxy S22 series devices in Europe. First up is Italy. Remarkable, because the beta program was not available there.
Android 13 is coming for Galaxy S22
The Samsung Galaxy S22 series is this year’s high-end series for Samsung. These three devices will therefore be the first to receive the update to Android 13 from Samsung. A bit faster than expected, Samsung seems to have started this now. Android 13 is now being rolled out in Europe. Normally, Samsung is the first to roll out the update to countries where the beta program has been tested, but that does not seem to be the case, as the update is now rolling out first in Italy.
In Italy, the Samsung Galaxy S22, the Galaxy S22+ and the Galaxy S22 Ultra are being updated to Android 13. This together with the new One UI 5 skin that Samsung has placed over Android 13. This is the latest skin from the company, about which more information was released in the past week, about the six new functions, although we also have an overview here with all the new functions. There are several new improvements and features. For example, you can choose from more colors for the Color Palette, with which the interface colors are matched to the set background. You also have more settings for widgets and there is a more refined user interface.
Earlier, it was rumored that Samsung would start rolling out Android 13 with One UI 5 for the Galaxy S22 series this month. It is not known when it will be the turn of the Netherlands, but given that the update has arrived in Europe, this should not take very long.
