Android 13 gets fast QR scanner and new connected device dialer

After we already received several indications for Android 13, it is now time for a new piece of news about Android 13. The news is about a changed interface for certain tasks and a fast QR code scanner.

New features for Android 13

Manufacturers have just started rolling out Android 12, but the messages about the successor, Android 13, are now also coming in. The colleagues of Android Police write about two new functions that should make their debut in the new Android version. Earlier, some new features in Android 13 appeared. One of the new functions is a QR code scanner that should be able to be started quickly. This is clear from the screenshot that was taken. The QR code scanner should be able to be started directly from the lock screen. It is not entirely clear how the function will work exactly.

Another new feature that we will encounter in Android 13 has to do with the display of connected devices. Think of earbuds, a headset, headphones, Bluetooth speaker or other device. The so-called device selector gets a number of tweaks in which the design is adjusted. Below you see a photo of the current display in Android 12 and on the right the new display in Android 13. It is quite possible that Google will adjust things in the coming months.
