Android 13: first major leak a fact
Android 13 is still away from us for a while, after all, Android 12L is being tested. However, the first information has now surfaced about the new Android version. What will Android 13 offer us?
First posts about Android 13
At the end of this year, Android 12 was officially released and the first manufacturers will start working with it. Android 12L is a specially adapted version of Android, mainly for foldables. This version is now being tested by Google and partners, and now it’s time for the first reports about Android 13. Thanks to colleagues from XDA, we now know the first details.
Google will provide Android 13 with an option that allows the user to set per app in which language it should be opened. This can then deviate from the default language on the telephone. For example, if you want to set the browser in Spanish, the Facebook app in Swedish and your phone in Dutch, it should be possible in Android 13.
The necessary changes are also made in the field of notifications. Just as you can already adjust far-reaching permissions for apps, this should also be possible for notifications. For example, certain types of notifications can be adjusted more easily, so that you do not receive notifications of advertisements, in-app offers and other uninteresting notifications, for example. Also technically, Google will make some adjustments. One such tweak is to adjust the clock display size on the lock screen. Although the latter can differ per manufacturer.
Android 13 will not be announced until early next year. We will no doubt hear more in the coming months.
