Android updates

Android 12: dates and list of all affected devices

Android 12 has just started its deployment and the first devices concerned are of course the Google Pixel models from previous years (3a, Pixel 3a XL, 4, 4 XL, 4a 5G, 5) since on the Pixel 6, the OS is installed original. The new system will be available on all recent smartphones, but the criteria change depending on the manufacturer of course. We made a small summary list with the dates announced by each other.

Asus

The Taiwanese brand is always very present when a new OS is deployed and this is still the case here. Too bad the Zenfone 6 (2019) is not affected at the moment.

With its Zenfone 8, Asus has bet on a compact, but very powerful device.

Honor and Huawei

Since the devices of these two brands have been “deprived” of Android since 2019, the only devices that may be affected are from before this year. However, it seems that none is going to Android 12. For the moment, only the Honor View 40, released in January 2021, will afford this update without knowing the precise date.

LG

LG left the French market in 2019, but that will not prevent the Korean brand from updating some of its devices released before its departure. On the other hand, it will be necessary to wait for the beginning of 2022.

  • LG G8, Q31, Q52, Q92, V50, V50s, V60, Velvet, Velvet LTE and Wing.

Motorola

Motorola is no longer the giant it used to be, but it still looks like most of its devices are seeing an update to Android 12 from 2022.

  • Motorola Edge, Edge +, Edge 5G, Edge S, Edge 20, Edge 20 Lite, Edge 20 Pro, G5, G10, G10 Power, G30, G Fast, Moto G Power, Moto G Stylus, One 5G, One 5G Ace, One Fusion, One Fusion + and One Hyper.

Nokia

The same goes for the Finnish-turned-Chinese giant with updates that will begin in early 2022 on the following models.

  • Nokia 1.3, 2.4, 3.4, 5.3, 5.4, 8.3 5G, C1 Plus, C20 Plus, G10, G20, X10, X20 and XR20.

Oneplus

At OnePlus we are very keen on Android updates. What a pity that the brand struggles to provide more frequent patches for 5G compatibility …

The OnePlus 9 Pro is still among the most powerful devices of 2021 several months after its release …

Oppo

Same story for Oppo with updates to Android 12 between December 2021 and June 2022.

  • Oppo Find X3 Pro, Find X3 Lite, Find X3 Neo, Find X2 Pro, Oppo Find X2 Neo, Find X2 Lite, Find X2, Reno 6 Pro, Reno 6, Reno 4 Pro, Reno 4 5G, Reno 4 Z, Reno Zoom 10x, A94, A74 5G, A73, A74 4G, A54s, A53, A53s and A16s.

Realme

Realme will open the ball very soon, then other models will be affected in March 2022 and there will be a last cart in June 2022.

  • Realme GT, GT Master Edition, GT Neo 2 5G, X7 Max, 8 Pro (by December 2021); Realme X7 Pro, X50 Pro 5G, 8 (4G), 8i, 7 Pro, Narzo 50A, Narzo 30, C25, C25s (March 2022); Realme X7, X3, X3 SuperZoom, 8 5G, 8s, 7 5G, Narzo 30 Pro 5G and Narzo 30 5G (June 2022).

Samsung

It is a little more vague at Samsung even if we know that the most recent models will be affected first.

  • Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra 5G, S21 +, S21, S20, S20 +, Galaxy S20 Ultra, S20 FE, Galaxy S10, S10 +, S10 Lite, S10e, Note20, Galaxy Note20 Ultra 5G, Galaxy Note10, Note10 Lite, Galaxy Note10 +, Z Fold3, Z Fold2, Galaxy Z Fold, Z Flip3, Z Flip2, Z Flip, Galaxy A71, A51, A52, A90 5G and A72.
Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra 5G is arguably one of the best premium devices of 2021

Sony

Sony prefers not to communicate on eligible devices and even less on dates. This avoids being justified in the event of delay. We can still imagine that the following models will be entitled to their version of Android 12.

Vivo

For Vivo, recently arrived in France, it is also between December and June 2022 that the handpicked devices will switch to Android 12. We will only display here the models released in France.

  • Vivo X60 Pro, Y33s, Y21, Y21s, Y21 5G, Y72 5G, Y52 5G, X51 5G, Y70 and Y20s.

Xiaomi

The Chinese firm is the most prolific on the market and it is also one of the few brands that does not forget its mid-range. On the other hand, it will be necessary to be a little patient for the POCOs and the Redmi which are not priority.

  • Xiaomi Mi 11, Mi 11 Ultra, Xiaomi Mi 11i, Mi 11X, 11T, 11T Pro, Xiaomi Mi 11 Lite, Mi 11 Lite 5G, Mi 11 Lite NE, Xiaomi Mi 10, Xiaomi Mi 10 Pro, Xiaomi Mi 10T Pro, Mi 10T, Mi 10T Lite, Xiaomi Mi Note 10, Mi Note 10 Pro and Mi 10 Lite.

  • Black Shark 4 Pro, 4, 3 Pro, 3, 3S.
The Xiaomi Mi 11i is a Mi 11 a little more accessible than its big brother without being a “Lite” version
