AMD presents the cheapest graphics card with RDNA 2 -apkrig

AMD is finally expanding its portfolio of graphics cards based on the RDNA 2 architecture. While the previously introduced models were designed for the most demanding ones, the Radeon RX 6700 XT card introduced yesterday is set to compete with Nvidia’s RTX 3070 or rather 3060Ti. And not only in terms of performance, but also through an aggressive price tag, which is to be set at $ 479, ie from our point of view approximately 14,000 crowns. That sounds good in itself, but we must add a warning at the outset that when the card arrives in stores on March 18, you probably won’t buy it again due to the current situation – we expect a quick reaction from traffickers and cryptocurrers, who will always find roadshow to bypass the queue of honestly waiting customers and then make fun of them by selling them through auction portals at a much higher price…

But let’s not ruin the day. The specifications of the new Radeon RX 6700 XT work well, and if we live in the belief that the card will actually appear for sale one day, it could serve a number of players. According to official numbers, the Navi 22 chip, built on the aforementioned RDNA 2 architecture, guarantees a frequency of 2424 MHz with the possibility of boosting up to 2581 MHz, thanks to a smaller number of transistors. There are 2560 stream processors, converted to 40 CU and a respectable 12 GB of GDDR6 memory. Overall, the RX 6700 XT reaches 12.4 teraflops and lags slightly behind the more powerful Radeon RX 6800 with 13.9 TFLOPS. In terms of outputs, the RX 6700 XT offers three Display ports and one 2.1 HDMI port.

AMD itself then suggests that the new card is suitable for playing in 1440p resolution, if players want to have a guarantee of at least 60 frames per second. However, the statement cannot be completely generalized and it is understandable that everything will be decided by specific tests in the given titles. In general, the RX 6700 XT can handle 4K as well as offer comfort in less than 1440p resolution, but nothing depends on the graphics card and hardware manufacturers tend to make the options for their products slightly blow out. As part of the competition with Nvidia, we also see a problem in the fact that AMD is not yet very shared about the details and sophistication of its alternative to DLSS – Super-Resolution. So the question is to what extent the 6xxx series cards will master it, or whether it is not a technology for future series. However, the widespread introduction of this technology could significantly help AMD for weaker cards, which could serve as a direct alternative all the more reliably.
