Ambient Display improvements and more

The OnePlus 8 series is provided with a new update by OnePlus. The update that is being rolled out from now on is OxygenOS 11.0.8.8. A similar update was previously released for the 9 series and includes new options for Bitmoji as well as some bloatware.

OxygenOS 11.0.8.8 for 8 and 8 Pro

The OnePlus 8 and OnePlus 8 Pro will both be updated with a new update from now on. In both cases it concerns the update with version number OxygenOS 11.0.8.8, which comes with a long changelog. Because with the update for the two smartphones, OnePlus has unpacked again. It is an update that we partly encountered earlier with the 9 series. For example, there is now some bloatware; an app from the OnePlus Store, where you can go for (official) accessories, for example.

There are also Bitmoji extensions for the Ambient Display. These were made in collaboration with Snapchat and you can set them as an avatar on the always-on display. The avatar will update throughout the day based on your activity and things around you. We also see security update August 2021 with this update, but the manufacturer has also made numerous system improvements. We have put the changelog of the update for you below.
