What is the Ecovacs Deebot T9 AIVI good for?
I just happened to be testing the Ecovacs Deebot T9 AIVI and can tell you exactly how well the vacuum robot really works. Otherwise I use a simple vacuum robot from Xiaomi, which is a bit older, and there you can clearly see the technological leap in the Deebot T9 AIVI. The sensors in combination with the camera on the front work very quickly and recognize things much better.
I find it very practical Carpet detection. The vacuum robot then automatically increases the suction power in order to be able to clean the carpet properly. If you have plugged in the wiping unit, the carpet detection also ensures that the carpet does not get wet. This works great for me too. It’s just a shame that you always have to remove the wiping unit if you just want to vacuum. But that’s done quickly.
I am satisfied with the suction and wiping performance. Especially the Rubber rollers on the bottom seem to have a very positive effect on cleaning performance. At least the result at the normal level is significantly better than the simple Xiaomi vacuum robot at the highest level. The only downside is that the cleaning is a bit noisier as rubber on my vinyl floor adds extra noise. It’s not as loud on the tiles in the bathroom – but it’s still louder than simple vacuuming.
The front camera is also useful. The Ecovacs Deebot T9 AIVI uses these in addition to the sensors for object recognition. But you can also access the camera in the app and send the vacuum robot through your house or apartment as a small watchdog. You can even use 2-way communication to communicate about it. Conveniently, once the cleanup is complete, you’ll be alerted to objects that were in the way. I had put shoes in the way as a test and then the app told me that I would like to put them away so that the vacuum robot could clean them again. Really strong function.
