almost half of readers want ChatGPT integrated into search engine

ChatGPT shouldn’t exist on its own, it should be integrated into a search engine. At least that’s what almost half of our readers think. 48 percent say that’s the best application for this advanced artificial intelligence.

Search engine with ChatGPT

If that means that that search engine is just as often overloaded, then it is not to be hoped that ChatGPT will soon be integrated into Bing, for example (because yes, Microsoft would be the most logical choice given the many investments). Bing is already getting a chat function with ChatGPT, but it is not yet the case that your regular Bing search result is ChatGPT-driven.

As Google gears up its Bard AI for a wider rollout, the question arises: will we be dealing with Bard when we search on Google Search? There are apparently many readers who want it when it comes to ChatGPT, although there are also those who prefer to see it as a separate function for the browser (18 percent). An equally large percentage would rather see it as part of office software. That you can use ChatGPT more easily if you get completely stuck in Excel or want to know how to spell idyllic or eloquent again while typing in Word. On the other hand, there are of course already tools for that.

Solution for loneliness

Few people see the usefulness of ChatGPT in the mailbox: only 1 percent would consider it the best application. 15 percent have very different plans with ChatGPT and would rather choose a different application. frenkieb, for example, knows a valuable way to use ChatGPT: “In combination with a good text to speech: as a solution for loneliness: for anyone who is in need of a chat but has no one around or can call.”

WESLY, in turn, prefers to look at messenger applications: “If you want to send longer messages about WhatsApp, for example, you can type very quickly and omit words and this can ultimately turn it into a story that 100% meets the Dutch or another language. A kind of T9 but for smartphones.”

Rather not at all

However, there is also another group that was less well represented in our poll. The group of people who don’t like ChatGPT at all. Stvaarwerk: “I had to read the article to know what it is… So I miss the option I don’t have it anywhere 😂”, but also Nobody: “I think I’m the only one who has never used it and there not really interested in anything else 🤣”

Or would those comments have been typed using ChatGPT? Who knows… Next week you can at least say it again, because then we’ll be back with a new poll.
