Even more expectations for products at Apple event

We are of course all waiting for September 7th. Then, around 7:00 PM Dutch time, Apple will announce the iPhone 14, the iPhone 14 Plus, and the Pro models of the iPhone 14, among others. But there are even more products that Apple will unveil this evening.

We’ve known for a while that Apple is announcing the iPhone 14 series. We have also heard rumors about no fewer than three new Apple Watch models. And now Apple insider Mark Gurman reports that we can expect something else: new AirPods Pro! Read on for all the expectations of the Apple event.

Expectations for AirPods Pro 2 at the Apple event

According to Gurman, the new AirPods Pro will be announced on Wednesday evening during the Apple event. The AirPods Pro 2 differ from the regular AirPods through better sound quality and noise reduction. A lot has also been improved compared to the predecessor, the AirPods Pro.

So you can finally listen to Apple Music in the highest quality via ‘lossless audio’ with the AirPods Pro 2. Then is fine for the music purists. We also heard about Auracast. This allows you to connect multiple sets of earplugs to one source. You can then, for example, connect multiple AirPods to one television and watch together without causing a nuisance to others.

In addition, Apple is expected to remove the famed “electric toothbrush” look from the AirPods Pro. So there will be a design without stems, where the AirPods Pro resemble the Google Pixel Buds.

Also new: the AirPods Pro 2 will most likely have built-in motion sensors, which will support your iPhone and Apple Watch in the health scan. We also expect the AirPods Pro 2 to be announced with a more energy-efficient chip and a smarter storage box.

Expectations for the new Apple Watch Series 8 Pro

Our expectations for the Apple event are that Apple will announce not one or two, but three (!) new Apple Watches. One of these is, of course, the announcement of the new Apple Watch Series 8, the successor to the Apple Watch Series 7.

This will reportedly get a flatter design, a larger screen ratio and (mainly) new health functions. The Apple Watch Series 8 can measure your body temperature with a new sensor. This smartwatch tells you whether you have a fever or helps women determine their menstrual cycle.

We will also find this sensor in the new Apple Watch Pro. This watch is marketed by Apple for the extreme athlete. That’s why it gets a more robust titanium design and it gets a longer battery life. In addition, this Apple Watch Series 8 Pro can be purchased in a larger 47 mm housing with a 1.99-inch screen. There have also been rumors of a satellite function on these smartwatches.

According to our expectations, the third smartwatch that Apple will announce at the Apple event is the Apple Watch SE 2022. We expect that this smart watch will now also have an ‘always-on screen’. This allows you to read messages or the time without activating the screen. Earlier models, which are already out, already have such a display. The big advantage of the new SE 2022 is of course the price.

The absentee at the Apple event: Apple Reality headset

The space theme of the keynote of the Apple event ‘Far Out’ may hint at the announcement of exceptional space glasses and the accompanying operating system RealityOS. Apple has wild plans for AR and VR. This September 7 keynote, however, comes too early. According to Gurman, Apple won’t release the headset until 2023, so an announcement is unlikely.

The mixed reality headset looks like VR glasses. Thanks to multiple cameras, the user sees his surroundings on two 8K screens. AR/VR glasses will be Apple’s most complicated product yet. Let’s hope for a little one sneak peak Wednesday. We are very curious!
