Albert Heijn supermarket app gets a sustainable new function
Albert Heijn has put an update in the Google Play Store that makes it possible to indicate in your profile whether you prefer to use digital receipts.

Digital receipt in the Albert Heijn supermarket app
Since last year, customers with a personal bonus card and version 7.31 or higher of the Albert Heijn supermarket app can view their receipt under ‘My profile’ in the Albert Heijn app. The receipt looks exactly like the paper receipt and is stored in the AH app for 27 months.
By scanning your Bonus card at checkout, the receipt will appear in the AH app. This way you will never lose your receipt again and the receipt can also be shared with others. It works very easily:
- Download or open the AH app on mobile or tablet.
- Make sure your Bonus card is activated.
- Click at the top right of the AH app My profile†
- Click on ‘Receipts’.
In addition to this option, the supermarket chain is now introducing a new option for the app. You can now indicate in preferences in your profile whether you prefer to use digital receipts. This way it is immediately clear what your preference is at the checkout. And of course it is sustainable because the paper receipt for your shopping never needs to be printed again.
