Beats Studio Pro release
According to MacRumors, Apple will likely launch the new wireless Beats Studio Pro headphones on July 19. This information comes from Myke Hurley, who revealed it a while back on the Apple podcast ‘Connected’. Hurley said he received the details from an anonymous source who had previously provided accurate information about the Beats Studio Buds+ earbuds.
What can we expect: specifications and design
The Beats Studio Pro over-ear headphones are expected to be available in four colors: black, navy, sandstone and deep brown. Leaked images show a design similar to that of the Beats Studio3.
Important new features include a USB-C connection for charging, improved microphones and optimized sound profiles. A new case will also be part of the package, along with Android-compatible features such as Fast Pair and Find My Device. Exciting news for enthusiasts: the Studio Pro headphones will likely retain the traditional 3.5mm headphone jack.
You can also expect a more advanced active noise reduction, which corresponds to the improvements of the Studio Buds +. Finally, the battery life will be longer than that of the Studio3.
A long awaited update
These headphones are a long-awaited update to the Studio3 model, which launched in 2017. While Apple opted for the W1 chip for the Studio3, it’s not yet known which chip will be used in the Studio Pro.
Hints at the new headphones have already surfaced in macOS 13.4 code and in the FCC database in recent weeks. No official release announcement has been made yet. It is expected that more details will be revealed as the presumed July 19 launch date approaches. A database of retailers already showed that the Studio Pro will cost around 399 euros in Europe.
