Acer introduced the world’s first 17-inch Chromebook
At its Next event, Acer introduced a number of new desktops, laptops and Chromebooks. It was also the first in the world to be announced as well 17-inch Chromebook 317. We haven’t seen a laptop like this in ten years of Chrome OS computers.

Chromebooks are generally known as smaller and affordable notebooks suitable for office work. However, the Acer Chromebook 317 is a completely different type of device. This is a great and in a way premium laptop with 17.3 ″ LCD display with a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels. There is also a webcam, backlit keyboard and two microphones. At first glance, you would be confused with a better Windows laptop.

Performance can be taken care of either (depending on the configuration) either Intel Celeron N5200, N5400 či Pentium Silver N6000. These processors do not have any extra performance, but in combination with Chrome OS, it is rich enough for everyday work. You will also enjoy the presence of Wi-Fi 6 or an audio jack. The battery lasts up to 10 hours of normal use. The basic price is then 399 EUR, which is about 10,000 crowns. So if you’re looking for a laptop with a large display and a weaker processor, all you need is a Chromebook 317.
